Medinfo World Medical Congress, Excel Centre - September 2001
This international medical informatics conference ran from 2nd-5th September 2001. Delegates from all corners of the world congregated at the new Excel Conference Centre in Docklands to listen and discuss in one of the 15 breakout rooms or in the main auditorium where we provided the sound reinforcement.
Two flown clusters of three Meyer Sound MSL-4s and two UPA-1P as downfill were used to cover the 1500 seated auditorium. The system was mainly used for speech including lectern, lapels and table mics with handheld radio mics for question and answer. The opening and closing ceremonies also included VT playback and musical stings for awards and presenters.
The four day conference was a great success. "With no schedule or running order, and only a brief verbal idea of what was wanted by the client, Sound By Design achieved wonders. We have grown to enjoy a very high standard of service and quality of equipment from Sound By Design, but on this occasion you excelled."
