Micheal Page International Ball, Royal Albert Hall - October 2000
Michael Page International one of the leading recruitment firms, wanted to give their staff a big thank-you. They decided that the ultimate party venue was the Royal Albert Hall, giving enough room to seat all the London teams and facilitate a large laser show.
Our brief was to supply a suitable system for speech, band and music play-back to cover the whole lower area of the hall. Phil Wright decided on a stereo system comprising of two clusters, containing Meyer Sound MSL-4 and UPA-1Ps, with Meyer CQ-1s and 650-P sub-bass. Twelve Meyer MPS-355 loudspeakers were flown from the Gallery level lighting bars for the pre-dinner drinks reception in the Gallery.
The complete system was aligned using Meyer's SIM II system, giving a very coherent and well time-aligned system that cut down on doubling reflections. The evening was a great success and all 600 employees left the venue at 1am after having a dance to their work band!
