Sound By Design were recently contracted to supply technical services in the Portico & Navy Board Rooms at Somerset House. Overlooking both the Edmond J. Safra Fountain Court and the River Terrace, the Portico Rooms offer an unrivalled venue for entertaining during the day and evening.

The event was a high profile property forum which included the main presentation & five breakout rooms. Sound By Design supplied two 84” plasma screens on custom hydrullic stands for the the main visual presentation along with a light speech reinforcement system for up to 100 attendees. Custom built, white EM Acoustics i-2 loudspeakers were chosen for the event and were specifically purchased for venues such as this and combine very high quality with a contempory appeal that compliments the style of the Portico Rooms well.

The Navy Board and Portico Rooms provide an excellent choice of space for breakout sessions.  Sound By Design provided two 42” plasma screens on parabella stands for a DVD that guests could enjoy whilst having a refreshment break. In the other five breakout rooms a presentation package was provided consisting of one 42” plasma screen to facilitate a PowerPoint presentation from a laptop and flipcharts for the brainstorming sessions.
