Grease
Natural History Museum, September 2011

Click to enlarge   A busy five day period in September saw Sound By Design installed at the Natural History Museum for two very large and prestigious events. The first, a company’s tenth anniversary, saw the Central Hall turned into the West End, where a fifty minute version of "Grease" was performed to over 600 hundred invited guests. Along with various speeches and presentations the guests also enjoyed a DJ in the north hall and dancing to the small hours.

The second event was on an even bigger logistical scale with a very large charity fund-raising event comprising of two stages for live acts in the Central Hall and a third stage in the North Hall for further live acts. With over 2000 invited guests, they were entertained by Eddie Jordan and his band "The Robbers", Ava Leigh, DJ Suites and many more with Brian Ferry as the closing act. Sound By design installed full front-of-house and monitor systems for all three stages using its extensive stock of L-Acoustics, K-Array, DiGiCo and Yamaha. Yet with all the bands arriving they were all sound checked and up and running within 2 hours of the museum closing... phew!!
