Concerto Challenge 2008
Physical activity has been a theme at Sound By Design this October. The company are keen supporters of the International Special Events Society (ISES) and this year, four members of ISES including our MD, Andy Callin, took part in the annual charity challenge organised by the Concerto Group. Over 40 participants raised in excess of £20,000 for Muscular Dystrophy in a triathlon at Rutland Water, Leicestershire.

LEGOLAND Amazing Machines – September 2008
This September saw Sound By Design's third year supplying sound reinforcement to LEGOLAND Windsor's hugely successful “Amazing Machines” weekend. An event that provides entertainment for both children and their parents, the shows encompass an array of action-packed activities.

Feast of Albion, Guildhall - March 2008
Sound By Design recently provided sound services to specialist production company Quintessentially Events for their Feast of Albion evening for the Soil Association at Guildhall. The show proved quite a challenge for a single evening as there were four separate stages within the great hall from which different acts were to perform which included Annie Lennox, David Jordan and the Ronnie Scott All Star Band.

Sound By Design has an extensive dry hire department and almost everything we own is available for hire, from a single microphone or loudspeaker to whole PA systems. We only purchase equipment that meets our strict demands and requirements, which is reflected in our constantly expanding hire stock. We pride ourselves on having a large selection of high quality, Meyer Sound self-powered and conventional loudspeakers, UHF radio microphones, orchestral microphones, mixing consoles, system management devices, amplifiers and playback/ record units.
