Sound By Design are pleased to announce their recent appointment as an authorised dealer for the full range of EM Acoustics loudspeakers and accessories. Sound By Design have had a close relationship with EM Acoustics for many years and look forward to building on this foundation.

Sound By Design has completed the first commercial recording using its recently constructed MADIcorder, after multiple successful trials. The unit, based around a quad-core Pentium PC running Steinberg Nuendo 4, allows the simultaneous recording or playback of 112-channels of 48kHz audio through a dual RME HDSP MADI interface.

Sound By Design has recently added to many areas of the equipment inventory. This includes Meyer Sound 700-HP UltraHigh-Power subwoofers and Galileo 616 loudspeaker processors, RME ADI-648 and MADI bridge interfaces, Motorola GP340 2-way radios and accessories and Peltor Lite-Com III PMR466 ear defenders. All DiGiCo stage racks have also been upgraded to 56-inputs and 24-outputs as standard.

Sound By Design has recently completed a £100k refurbishment of its in-house PA system at London’s Royal Albert Hall. The original Meyer Sound MSL-2A/ UPA-1C based centre cluster has been replaced with a new system comprising Meyer Sound M-Series curvilinear array cabinets.

Sound By Design are delighted to announce their appointment by Cambridge Cottage (RBG Kew Enterprises) as their approved supplier of AV equipment for events. This is a fantastic space for weddings, presentations or receptions.

In line with the company's move away from the entertainment industry and into full-time baby manufacturing, Sound By Design is pleased to announce that Phil and his partner, Emma, have had a beautiful baby boy. Alex was born on the 1st of February and we all wish him and his parents the best of luck.

The recent opportunity to take over a neighbouring unit and bring the office back under the same roof as the warehouse was just too tempting an offer to pass over, so Chappie and the team once again found themselves on the move.

Sound By Design is proud to announce that Emma has given birth to twin baby girls. Erin and Charlotte were born on the 22nd December 2006, just in time for Christmas! The whole team offer Emma and her partner, Tony, our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for the future.

As part of the Royal Horticultural Society’s recent £1 million refurbishment of The Lawrence Hall in Victoria, London, Sound By Design was contracted to install a high quality public address system that would be versatile enough to handle the wide variety of events that the venue caters for.
